چکیده

In the standard paradigm for cosmological structure formation, clustering develops from initially random-phase (Gaussian) density fluctuations in the early Universe by a process of gravitational instability. The later, non-linear stages of this process involve Fourier mode-mode interactions that result in a complex pattern of non-random phases. We present a novel mapping technique that reveals mode coupling induced by this form of nonlinear interaction and allows it to be quantified statistically. The phase mapping technique circumvents the difficulty of the circular characteristic of φk and illustrates the statistical significance of phase difference at the same time. This generalized method on phases allows us to detect weak coupling of phases on any ∆k scales.

A New Method for Clustering Wireless Sensor Networks to Improve the Energy Consumption

Clustering is an effective approach for managing nodes in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). A new method of clustering mechanism with using Binary Gravitational Search Algorithm (BGSA) in WSN, is proposed in this paper to improve the energy consumption of the sensor nodes. Reducing the energy consumption of sensors in WSNs is the objective of this paper that is through selecting the sub optimum se...

A clustering approach for mineral potential mapping: A deposit-scale porphyry copper exploration targeting

This work describes a knowledge-guided clustering approach for mineral potential mapping (MPM), by which the optimum number of clusters is derived form a knowledge-driven methodology through a concentration-area (C-A) multifractal analysis. To implement the proposed approach, a case study at the North Narbaghi region in the Saveh, Markazi province of Iran, was investigated to discover porphyry ...

Environmental sensitivity of flash flood hazard using geospatial techniques

Flash flood has been increasing in the Khartoum area, Sudan due to geographical conditions and climatic change as heavy rainfall and high temperature, therefore the present work tried to estimate the sensitivity of flash flood. The present work proposes an advanced technique of flood sensitivity mapping using the method of analytical hierarchy process. Ten factors as elevation, slope, distance ...

Application of Probabilistic Clustering Algorithms to Determine Mineralization Areas in Regional-Scale Exploration Studies

In this work, we aim to identify the mineralization areas for the next exploration phases. Thus, the probabilistic clustering algorithms due to the use of appropriate measures, the possibility of working with datasets with missing values, and the lack of trapping in local optimal are used to determine the multi-element geochemical anomalies. Four probabilistic clustering algorithms, namely PHC,...
